Sonia, Manmohan Singh Meet Ahead of Reshuffle

New Delhi, Jul 9: Congress president Sonia Gandhi met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ahead of the cabinet reshuffle at PM's Race Course Road residence here, on Friday July 9.

The cabinet reshuffle is scheduled for Monday July 11.

With the resignation of former textile minister Dayanidhi Maran and other developments that took place recently, the cabinet reshuffle had to be made imperative.

Along with removing under-performing ministers from the cabinet, the PM will also announce the new railways minister.

However, Dr Singh has refused to disclose any such details.
