Mangaluru, May 5: “One among the BJP's double engine will be sent for scrap this state election and another one in 2024,” said former chief minister and Congress leader Veerappa Moily.
Addressing media here on Thursday May 4, Veerappa Moily said, “One engine cannot not function in the state and hence a double engine has been installed here. There will be no issue in implementing the six guarantees announced by the Congress ahead of the elections. The BJP have put the country and state in debt and also busy merging and privatising everything. Modi has conducted 20 meetings so far which indicates fear of losing.
“Modi and Amit Shah are behaving like dictators in the country. During the last election, Modi alleged the Congress of being involved in 10% corruption. Now the BJP government is surrounded by 40% corruption allegations. The roots of democracy have weakened under the BJP government. The BJP are destroying independent organisations and controlling the Supreme Court and security agencies.
“The Congress will gain majority in the state while the BJP will not gain more than 30 seats,” he said.
