Kasargod: Mangalore Kazi Death – CBI Halts Investigation

Daijiworld Media Network – Kasargod (SP)

Kasargod, Jul 11: It is learnt that Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has stopped its ten-month-old investigation into the mysterious death of Mangalore Kazi, C M Abdulla Musliar Chembarikka. It is reliably learnt that the CBI team headed by its investigating officer, circle inspector Lasar, has handed over the final report of the findings of the team to CBI state unit head, Nandakumar. The team left for Chennai after handing over the report.

The mysterious circumstances in which the Kazi’s body was found on the seashore on February 15, 2010 morning, had made his family members and others to suspect foul play, as the aged Kazi never left home alone, as he could not walk without help. The Kazi’s footwear, walking stick, and torch were found on a rock near the spot. The front door of the house remained locked. After the police team and crime branch failed to make any headway in the investigation, the investigation was handed over to CBI, which questioned people from various places and subjected some of them to narco analysis test.

It is gathered that the CBI team has failed to conclusively prove that the Kazi was killed. CBI had even grilled Chembarikka Mufazal, presently lodged in Tirur jail, relating to the case, but failed to get any leads to suggest that Kazi was murdered, it is learnt.

This shows the inability of CBI, the high profile & most trusted Investigating Agency to trace the culprits. If they cannot identify the culprits of the high profile cases like this, then how can we trust the CBI for the other cases.
