Mangaluru, May 11: In connection with the scuffle that took place between workers affiliated with the Congress and the BJP in Moodushedde, authorities have made four arrests. The incident resulted in injuries to several individuals, including a police officer, and the damaging of a police vehicle.
The arrested individuals, who are now in judicial custody, have been identified as follows:
Punith, aged 33, son of Vishwanath Poojari, residing in Shivanagara, Moodushedde, Kavoor; Nishanth Kumar, aged 24, son of Gurudutt Nayak, residing in Shivanagara, Moodushedde, Kavoor; Rakesh, aged 28, son of Janardhan Poojari, residing in Moodushedde, Jaradabettu, Kavoor and Dinesh Kumar, aged 30, son of late Gopala Shetty, residing in Shalepadavu, Moodushedde, Kavoor.
During the incident, multiple First Information Reports (FIRs) were registered under different sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). As a precautionary measure to maintain law and order, Section 144 has been imposed in the jurisdiction of five police stations.
Law enforcement agencies are actively working to identify other individuals involved in the scuffle, and strict action will be taken against all responsible parties.
