Vittal, May 16: A clash between two gangs over trivial reasons resulted in both parties filing police complaints against each other at the Vittal police station.
In the first case, Abdul Azeez, son of Abdul Rehman and a resident of Edurukaje, Kepu village, lodged a complaint against Aboobacker Siddik.
In the second complaint, Aboobacker Siddik, son of Marakkini and also from Kepu village, filed a police complaint against Afraz Alias Azeez, Jaleel, Isham, and Farhan.
Abdul Azeez mentioned in his complaint that he objected to smoking in front of children, which led to an altercation with Aboobacker Siddik. Aboobacker Siddik then asked him to meet near Badria chicken center in Adyanadka. When Abdul Azeez arrived at the location, Aboobacker Siddik verbally abused him and attempted to stab him with a knife from the chicken center. Abdul Kareem, Jaleel, and Hisham intervened and prevented the assault, but Aboobacker Siddik threatened Abdul Azeez with death before fleeing the scene.
Aboobacker Siddik's complaint stated that while he was working at the Badria Chicken Centre on May 14, Afraz alias Azeez, Jaleel, Isham, and Farhan arrived. Afraz accused Aboobacker Siddik of spreading rumors that he consumed ganja (cannabis). Afraz verbally abused him, physically assaulted him with his hands and a stone, and threatened to kill him.
