London, July 14 (IANS) American rock band Maroon 5 is donating funds to aid the refugee crisis in Kenya.
Frontman Adam Levine and his bandmates have promised $2,500 for every 1,000 fans who 're-Tweet' a message they've posted on their page on micro-blogging site Twitter which talks about Somali refugees arriving in Kenya, reports contactmusic.com.
The group states, "Maroon 5 needs your help! Retweet 1000 times and we will donate $2500 on behalf of fans to this cause. Maroon 5 for Somalia."
As many as 380,000 people have attempted to escape war and drought in Somalia by fleeing to Kenya, this year.
