Bantwal: HJV demands arrest of man molested woman passenger in bus

Bantwal, May 26: A video showing a man stroking a woman's hair her in a bus has created a controversy and the video has gone viral. The Hindu Jagarana Vedike Bantwal taluk unit has filed a complaint at the police station and urged for the early arrest of the suspect.

According to reports, Hameed of Palligudde Mane, Navoor Village stroked the hair of a woman and inappropriately touched her back while she was travelling on a Dharmastala to Mangaluru government bus.

Hameed was reportedly seated behind the woman. A fellow passenger recorded a video of the incident.

Thirulesh Bellur of Thenkabellur village has lodged a complaint in Bantwal town police station that Hameed molested the woman on May 25 evening when the bus was passing by Jakribettu of B Kasba village. The co-passenger shared the video, which subsequently went viral. The Hindu Jagarane Vedike Bantwal unit has urged for the swift arrest of the accused.

Meanwhile, Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik too has asked the DySP to take strict action against the offender.

    Namaskar...Indeed everything needs to be done to prevent anything immoral and inconvenient. As a regular traveler in city Bus services....I frequently note that women of all kinds occupy general seats even if ladies seats are vacant. Further, they have no inhibitions and never bother on their loose dupattas/veils, and flowing hair in many case disturb and impose upon co-passengers. This is irksome and women and concerned must be aware and avoid this. Thanks.

    dear shet bhai..you are absolutely right...in such cases you need to raise the issue with the conductor...though I dont travel by city buses, i have seen ladies occupying gent seats even when their seats are vacant mainly to avoid the sun...so AC will be introduced shortly in buses as the private one are going to be taken out from service as most of the drivers and conductors are part time goondas of bd and vhp

    The accused confessed to police that he was paid by HJV to act out this drama like Cooker-Bomber. Now HJV should go to Chikmangalore to save Muslim woman being harassed by a BD Chaddi to help her file police complain because she feels shy and shameful.

    so the woman did not object....but hjv is creating isssue..when a hindu boy died due to potholes in bikkarnakatta no one went to his house..even his mother said only Congress people helped them..this is what the jobless goons of hjv are doing...all bus conductors and drivers are also part of this...that is why soon private buses will be banned in dk

    realkujuma kodial ,funny is that the fellow made the foto video or so.but he didnt tell the man not to touch or leave it,or told the woman about her admirer behind the seat?Now Some sangis are demanding to arrest the man .I dont understand the logic here.If I was in his place who clicked foto.would immediately say he should take away his hand from lady

    No need to be victim’s advocate for political reason. Only the victim has the right to file police complain if she wishes and an appropriate action will be taken as per law. No need to dictate punishment to the accused by passing Nagpur verdict. For congress and constitution all are equal till proven guilty.
