Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi to Distribute Scholarships in Mangalore

Abu Dhabi, Jul 16: Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi, one of the oldest Billawa organizations in the Gulf region, as part of it 17th anniversary, will be distributing educational scholarships to the needy Billawa children of South Canara and Madikeri districts.

Balaga celebrated its 17th anniversary on April 1 this year with colourful events including a grand Yakshagana programme and honoured veteran Balipa Narayana Bhagavatha and drama artiste Balakrishna Kadri in the presence of large Billawa members from Abu Dhabi and Dubai. 

Balaga will be presenting Devidas Kapikad's new Tulu drama "Kala Kambula" as part of the scholarship distribution programme on August 16 at Mangalore Town Hall at 5 pm.

Scholarships worth Rs 1,25,000 will be distributed to 25 deserving school/college children.

Raj Kumar, president of Karnataka Sangha Bahrain and Satish Venkatramana, managing director of Chilly Willy Dubai will be the guests of honour on the occasion. 

Manohar Tonse, convenor and committee members of Billawara Balaga Abu Dhabi request Billawa Community members of all Gulf-based Billawa organisations who will be in Mangalore during this time to attend the programme and encourage this noble cause.

Free transport will be provided to all Billawa community members travelling from Udupi.
