Mangaluru, May 29: MLA Vedavyas Kamath said that Congress government was indulging in hatred politics. He also urged them to implement all the guarantee schemes announced before the elections without conditions.
Addressing media here on Monday May 29, Kamath said, “The guarantee schemes which were announced by the Congress has led to a lot of confusion. The government is struggling to implement the promises they made. The Congress announced those schemes without any clarity. People are assaulting meter reading staffs in some districts.
“The Congress should implement0 the guarantee schemes without any conditions. They also announced 10 kg rice for BPL families. The central government is already providing 5 kg rice and the Congress are fooling people by giving only 5 kg additional rice. They should give 10 kg rice excluding the five kg rice from the central government. They are also indulging in vote bank politics by revising school text book lessons. The Congress is taking anti-development steps by stopping fund release up to Rs 20,000 crore. Even after their government came to power, they have not taken steps to visit natural disaster affected areas in Hassan and Chikkamagaluru,” he said.
The MLA also said, “Cases are filed against MLA Harish Poonja and former minister Dr Ashwath Narayan. The Congress is trying to take revenge against the BJP leaders. They should not cheat people of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi by denying them guarantee schemes. The Congress is also hatching conspiracy to stop private buses in the coastal belt. Chief minister Siddaramaiah insulted Sullia MLA Bhagirathi Murulya after she took oath in the name of a deity. He was silent when Congress leaders took oath in their leader’s name. The present government is a coalition one between D K Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah factions.”
