Kundapur, May 29: Death often arrives unexpectedly. Even those who toil and work hard can feel its presence lurking nearby. In a tragic incident, a young man who had just completed a mehndi painting job at a friend's house met with an untimely demise.
Bhaskara (33), a resident of Kundapur's Nagabobarya temple, worked as a painter and took care of his household responsibilities. On Sunday night, death came to him in the form of an auto rickshaw.
At approximately 9:30 PM on Sunday night, Bhaskar was returning home in his friend Gururaj Pujari's auto-rickshaw after completing the mehndi programme. Near Santhe Market in Kundapur, the auto rickshaw went out of control and collided with a coconut tree along the Movadi-Trasi road at Angod.
Bhaskar, who was seated in the back of the auto during the accident, tragically lost his life on the spot. Miraculously, driver Gururaj Pujari escaped with minor injuries.
A case has been registered at the Gangolli police station.
Bhaskar was the only son of his parents, and his two sisters are married. The family is devastated by the sudden loss of their beloved son.
