Mangaluru, Jun 1: Police commissioner Kuldeep Jain is all set to resume ‘Police Phone-in Programme’. The call-in programme will be held on June 3 from 10 am to 11 am.
The public now can report problems or complaint directly to the police commissioner during the programme. The public can call up 0824-2220801 and 0824-2220830.
The police phone-in programme was the brainchild of the then police commissioner M Chandrashekar in the year 2016. It was great initiative which went on to complete 100 programmes during his tenure.
It was then continued by police commissioners Sandeep Patil and Dr Harsha for a short period of time.
It was completely stopped after the police firing incident in 2019 here.
The programme is resumed after four years under Kuldeep Jain. The police phone-in programme is one of the best platforms for the public to report complaints and problems to the police commissioner which will be addressed swiftly.
The programme also helps the officials to know the problems pertaining to traffic, drugs, private buses among others.
