Mangaluru, Jun 5: Kishan Shetty, the groom who went missing on the day of his mehendi programme, has been traced. On Sunday June 4 afternoon, Kishan called his younger sister and informed that he is at Ballari and he will not return home for ever. In addition, he also switched off his mobile phone. Parents heaved a sigh of relief after he called up.
Kishan called his sister and informed her that he has kept his scooter in front of the RTO office at Melkar and he will not return home forever. Though the sister tried to speak to him, he immediately cut the phone call and switched off the mobile phone. Kishan’s sister conveyed the matter to her father and he informed the same to Konaje police.
When the police searched for the location of Kishan’s mobile phone, it showed rural tower location of Ballari and was changing location some kilometres after every half an hour. Police have been alerted and are about to find out the exact location of the groom.
On May 31, Kishan, who went to buy fruits for his mehendi programme went missing and this led to many rumours. He is the son of Aithappa Shetty, an entrepreneur from Devandapadpu. Though Kishan was in love with a girl from other caste from his college days, he got engaged to another girl recently.
It is said that the girl who was in love with Kishan threatened to kill herself if he marries anyone else or come to the wedding hall and reveal the whole love story to the public. That is why Kishan went missing on the day of mehendi.
It is also learnt that the girl, who was in love with Kishan, has filed a complaint with city commissioner of police that Kishan cheated her and has given details in three pages of her complaint. According to some source, Kishan was not showing interest to speak to the bride after their engagement as per the information conveyed by his friends. Now the issue has taken a new twist and the truth will come out only after he is physically found and interrogated by the police.
