Mangaluru, Jun 6: “The Congress is committed towards the empowerment of people of the state. The five guarantees were promised to the people of the state with a responsibility after clearly studying it. The Congress is a part of the economically poor and middle class. The guarantees what we have assured to the people are not freebies but we are striving to empower the down trodden said,” home minister G Parameshwar.

He was speaking to party workers at Congress office here on Tuesday June 6.

He further said, “People of the state aggressively voted the Congress to power against the BJP. Keeping faith in the Congress, people voted us with confidence and gave a clear mandate of 135 seats. After studying the feasibility, the Congress had assured the guarantees to the people. As there is a system, to implement the programme, the necessary fund should to be allotted in the budget. Only then the programmes can be implemented. Sadly, the BJP leaders are not aware of this. Instead, they are making irresponsible statements.

“The Congress assured the guarantee programmes with conscious mind and now have given the guarantees to the people. Our state has surplus power. Moreover, we are selling power. As it is possible to give 200 units of free electricity, we had announced that as one of the guarantees,” he said.

Taking dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Parameshwar said, “The Prime Minister who is in a responsible position had assured the people of the country that Rs 15 lac will be deposited to the bank accounts of the poor after the black money is retrieved. But, till date, the promise is not fulfilled.”

Stating that Mangaluru is the second developed city after Bengaluru, he said, “There is a wide scope to tap the resources. Hence, I have asked the deputy commissioner to identify 15 acres of land to start a gold and diamond hub in Mangaluru. The hub will generate revenue to the state government and will be useful for the people of state.”

Former minister B Ramanath Rai, MLC Manjunath Bhandary, Congress leaders J R Lobo, Mithun Rai, Mamatha Gatti and others were present.

    Congress has won massive landslide victory in Karnataka. Congress now must rule well and support development and should not follow the path of corruption of BJP in Karnataka If they do so in 2024 parliament elections they will make it big in Karnataka

    We see so many guys coming in social media, TV chnls, political analysts, journalists etc. saying congress done nothing. Any one beliving them is a big stupid. Simple reason, if you find the guys are well dressed, having good education, have a roof on top of their head, can have 3 square meals per day, can follow their faith that itself is enough to prove, congress done sufficient enough at least to those guys. Their ancestors possibly didn't had any of it or may be even worked as slaves. And definately, these guys didn't born after 2014, grownup and educated so quickly in 9yrs. So, yes, Cong is for the economically poor and middle class. Cong too has weakness, but not a burden to the country like BJP.

    This is actual ‘Subke Saath Subka Vikas’ ‘Acche Dins Aagaye’. BJP’s fake narrative and promises are fulfilled by congress. No wonder BJP is kicked out by the people from the state in spite of Modi’s and Amit Shah hundreds of visits, Road shows and inaugurating unfinished unfunctional projects.

    ದೊಡ್ಡ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಸಾಲ ಮನ್ನಾ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ದೇಶ ದಿವಾಳಿ ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲವಾ. ಇದು ಕೇವಲ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಜನತೆಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ ಅದರಿಂದ ದೇಶ ಹೇಗೆ ದಿವಾಳಿ ಆಗುವುದು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೇಳುವುದು ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಅಕ್ಷರ ಕಲಿತ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಬೇಕೆಂದು.
