Kundapur, Jun 9: A case is filed in which a man, a native of Gujarat, cheated Malpe Fresh Marine Export Company in Devalkunda village of the taluk, to the tune of Rs 16.65 lac.
Ilyas Vazeer Bhai of Gujarat is the accused. The complainant fish export company used to export fish to the companies as instructed by Vazeer Bhai and the companies used to send money directly to the bank account of the fish factory.
Illyas asked the export company to send four containers of fish to Fujian Province Chosen Import and Export Trade company in September 2021. Accordingly, the fish export company of Devalkunda sent 1,03,670 kg of fish in four containers on a ship. The value of this was Rs 1,33,68712. The company paid Rs 53,91,036 and Rs 64,62,840 in two instalments to the bank account of the fish export company.
The remaining amount of Rs 16,65,594 is still not paid by the company which purchases the fish. The factory and the company which purchased the fish do not have direct contact as Ilyas is the agent between them. Ilyas is pestering the export company by not paying the amount and does not give the contact details of the company in China, which bought the fish, also. A case in this connection is filed in rural police station.
