Bantwal, Jun 13: A young girl has gone missing after sending a message stating that she is going to Bengaluru. A missing person's complaint has been registered at the Bantwal town police station in connection with the incident.
The missing girl is Neha (22), daughter of B Muda, a resident of Kasba village in Lekkasiri Pade, Ramesh Salian. Neha, who was employed at a safety instrument shop in Mangaluru, had informed her family, who were looking for marriage proposals for her, that she did not want to get married at the moment as she wished to continue her studies.
On May 27, Neha went to work as usual and sent a message to her aunt's mobile at 4 pm, stating that she was going to Bengaluru, after which she turned off her mobile phone.
On May 29 and June 6, her family received letters from Neha, stating that she was in Bengaluru and that they should not search for her. However, there were no further phone calls or messages from her. Since there has been no communication from Neha since then, her family members suspect that she is missing. Avinash S R, Neha's younger brother, has lodged a complaint at the town police station, urging them to locate her.
