Puttur, Jun 15: Shakti scheme of the state government, which offers free bus travel to women throughout Karnataka has begun on June 11. Women are thronging tourist places and holy temples taking advantage of the offer. In the midst of this, a young married woman from Hubballi left her 11-month-old baby and escaped to Puttur to meet her paramour. Though she did not have any money, the free bus travel helped her to meet her lover.
Both were in love before the young woman got married to some other man. The affair continued even after marriage. Her paramour used to work in a farm near Kodimbadi. Family members of the husband of the young woman searched for her in the night in Puttur.

The young woman escaped from home on the pretext of linking her Aadhar card. In fact she brought the Aadhar card to show to the conductor to travel freely from Hubballi to Puttur. The family members are in search of the woman as well as her paramour.
Gram panchayat member Jayaprakash Badinar is helping the family members to trace the missing woman. It is known through tower location that the pair escaped to Siddakatte from Puttur. A missing complaint is filed on both the woman and her paramour.
