Bantwal, Jun 15: A recent road accident involving a lorry and a car has escalated into a chilling case of alleged attempted murder.

The car, belonging to Nithin Pakkala, a resident of Kemminje in Puttur, was rear-ended by a lorry. However, Nithin Pakkala has made a shocking complaint to the police, stating that the lorry driver, Sahul Hameed, not only launched a barrage of expletives but also attacked him with a screwdriver in an apparent attempt to take his life.

The incident occurred while Nithin Pakkala was driving to Mijar, Moodbidri, accompanied by his friends.

A case of attempted murder has been filed at the Bantwal town police station based on Nithin's complaint, leading to the arrest of Sahul Hameed.

In a surprising twist, Sahul Hameed has lodged a counter complaint against Nithin, resulting in the registration of a separate case.
