Mangaluru: Mullai Muhilan MP is new DC, Ravi Kumar M R transferred

Mangaluru, Jun 16: Mullai Muhilan MP has been appointed as the deputy commissioner (DC) of Dakshina Kannada (DK) district replacing Ravi Kumar M R in an order from the state government dated Friday June 16. 

Mullai Muhilan M P was earlier serving as the executive director of Centre for Smart Governance, Bengaluru. He is a 2013 batch IAS officer. 

Ravikumar M R had taken charge as the DC of Dakshina Kannada on October 31, 2022.

In addition, Dr Kumara, the chief executive officer (CEO), zilla panchayat, Dakshina Kannada, Mangaluru has been transferred as the deputy commissioner of Mandya district.

Dr Kumar IAS took charge as the CEO of Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat on February 19, 2021.

    Welcome to Mangalore dear Mr. Mullai. Gratitude to the out going DC Mr. Ravi Kumar, who was an upright officer. Once one IAS Officer told me that they need to keep their bags packed & ready to be moving anytime. This looks like that. Mr. Ravi has not even completed a year in our city & there he goes. anyways this is life and nothing is permanent. Good luck to all the three officers.
