Mangaluru, Jun 17: Miscreants vandalised the banners, on Friday June 16 night, that were put up from Thokkottu overbridge to Abbakka Circle of Ullal congratulating MLA U T Khader on his election as the speaker of the Karnataka assembly.

There were also flexes congratulating Khader on the civilian honour that was offered last Sunday at the Mahatma Gandhi auditorium in Ullal.

Police are verifying the CCTV recordings. According to the information available, two miscreants who arrived on two wheeler in the wee hours of Saturday have done the act.

Police said that no one has filed a complaint in this regard in the police station as the flexes were put up without the permission of the local administration.

MLA U T Khader is democratically elected as the speaker of the Karnataka State Assembly on Merits. Miscreants who are vandalizing the banners congratulating UT Khader are jealous. They are anti social elements; against the values of democracy!

vandalism of daylight illiteracy is the need of the hour. Siddu/DKShi combine knows very well that regardless of whether Khader performs or not he will be elected. How to face this challenge and not give him ministry...make him speaker. Ullal should stop acting naive from now on because message is clear. Money rules supreme, not electorate.

First of all stop putting posters after a candidate has won the elections. Winning itself is a reply if it’s ability and fame. It should stop at that point. Use the money used on these kind of posters til the benefits of poor in the society. MLA should take initiative to educate his supporters. Election is over, government is formed and now motto should be give good governance.
