Mangaluru, Jun 18: The premiere show of the much awaited Tulu movie ‘Circus’ directed by Roopesh Shetty was held at Big Cinemas on Sunday, June 18.
Circus is the second directorial movie of Roopesh Shetty who was the winner of Bigg Boss Kannada OTT Season 1, and Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9. Roopesh Shetty had earlier directed the blockbuster Tulu movie ‘Girgit’.
Managing director of Daijiworld Media Network Private Limited Walter Nandalike, journalist Jagannath Shetty Bala along with director Roopesh Shetty, actresses Rachana Rai and Roopa Varkady, music director Loy Valentine Saldanha, editor Rahul Vashista inaugurated the premiere show at Mangaluru.
Speaking on the occasion, Walter Nandalike said, "Circus movie has witnessed houseful shows in its global première. In recent months Tulu cine lovers were disappointed as there was no hit Tulu movie released, but Circus movie will turn out to be that hope of success and turn out to be a hit in Tulu film. We need to congratulate the entire team of Circus movie to bring everyone together to the theatres. In today’s premiere show at Big Cinemas more than 4000 people are watching the movie which itself is a record.
As many as 12 shows of Circus movie will be screened at the Mangaluru premiere show. Audiences thronged to the theatres in large numbers to watch Circus movie at Big Cinemas.
The movie premiered in Indian theatres in Pune and global theatres of Dubai, UAE, Australia, USA, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Qatar and Bahrain. The movie will be premiered in Canada, USA, UK, Thailand, Nigeria, Kuwait, Puttur, Manipal, Mumbai and Al-Ain (UAE) in the coming days.
The film is produced by Shoolin Films, Manjunath Attavar, and Mugrody Films. In addition to directing, Roopesh Shetty will also play the lead role alongside Rachana Rai, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Naveen D Padil, Sai Krishna, Umesh Mijar, Prasanna Shetty Bailur, Sandeep Shetty, and Kannada film actor Yash Shetty.
Loy Valentine Saldanha has composed the music and Prasanna Shetty Bailur, who gained fame for his work in 'Girgit' has penned the dialogues. Naveen Shetty is the choreographer, Niranjan Das has captured the movie and Rahul Vashishta is the editor.
The dubbing, mixing, and mastering of the movie have been handled at Daijiworld Audio Visual Pvt Ltd.
‘Circus’ will hit the screens on June 23.
