Fish from Chennai to arrive in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi soon

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru/Udupi (MS)

Mangaluru/Udupi, Jun 19: Fishing activity began in Chennai after a two-month prohibition. The boats that went into deep sea returned with a huge bounty of fish on Sunday to the ports of Chennai.

Public crowded Kasimedu fishing port of Chennai on Sunday like a fair.

There is shortage of fish in Karnataka as the traditional boat fishermen could not venture into the deep sea due to the Biparjoy cyclone.

In Karnataka, fishing is banned from June 1 to July 31. In Tamil Nadu, fishing is banned from April 15 to June 15. On their first trip to sea, plenty of fish of different varieties were caught by the fishermen.

Within a day or two, fresh fish of Chennai is going to arrive in twin districts as per the fish merchants of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.

Any meal is incomplete without fish.Fish has its own health benefits.Sardine is one among them to cure acidity.Though it is cheap it is really good for health. After a heavy Sunday meal this sardine comes as a huge relief specially on Monday. It will balance the human system.A big thanks to Sardine.

Fish to DK and Udupi is being brought by private merchants, not by Sidda, neither sold by Stalin. For Sidda or Bommai fish from Chennai comes illu da ulai.
