New Delhi, Jul 22: The Delhi Police have alleged that Suhail Hindustani was the main planner of the cash-for-vote scam and that none of the Congress or Samajwadi leaders had asked him to bribe MPs during the 2008 trust vote.

Shudheendra Kulkarni who was tagged along with Hindustani has been made a witness in this case. Along with him, the three Bharatiya Janata Party MPs who were bribed during the 2008 trust vote namely Faggan Singh Kulaste, Mahavir Singh Bhagora and Ashok Argal have also been made witnesses.

The Delhi police have said that Hindustani and Sanjeev Saxena, both who have been arrested, are the main conspirers in this act. However, they added that they were also middlemen involved, who are yet to be traced.

The police who sought Hindustani’s remand for two days in order to bring him face-to-face with Saxena have been permitted only a day’s remand by the court.
