Puttur, Jun 21: Uppinangady police handed over a golden bracelet that was found at a juice centre to its rightful owner.

A bracelet was found on May 3 at the Sachin Juice Centre near the Uppinangady bus stop when a WhatsApp message regarding the bracelet was flashed expecting its owner to reach the shop. More than 30 people visited the juice centre enquiring about the ornament and to stake their claim for the bracelet. The shopkeeper approached the police to resolve the issue to hand over the bracelet to its rightful owner.

The police handed over the bracelet to Dilip based on the evidence provided to them including the CCTV footage that was made available. Dilip produced the bill and claimed the bracelet which was duly handed over by the police.

Dilip said he had lost the bracelet on May 3 after visiting the house-warming ceremony of his sister. He said he had assumed that the bracelet had been lost in a crowded place and had enquired his relatives about it as well. He said he took a vow in the name of Koragajja when he did not find the ornament. He remembered that he had consumed juice at Sachin juice centre and saw a WhatsApp message before contacting the shopkeeper. He said god had been kind and had rescued him from the loss of a precious ornament.
