BJP in no Hurry To Take Action Against BSY

Daijiworld Media Network

New Delhi, Jul 22: In wake of the leaked report wherein Lokayukta Santosh Hegde has indicted Chief Minister Yeddyurappa, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s high command will not take action against him, atleast not for the next few days.

The party’s spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said, “Let us wait for the Lokayukta’s report. Only then we will give a comprehensive response.”

Sources revealed that unless the indictment is serious in nature, where there may not be any action.

The recommendation of a probe leading to the financial loss of Rs 1800 crore will be investigated, though there will be no threat to the CM’s continuance in office.

According to sources, despite Hegde’s claim that there is “substantive” evidence against Yeddyurappa, it will be left to the CM himself to decide his next course of action.

    @Lokanath.D.Bantwal/Kolkata
    This time also I feel that Yeddi will survive all onslaughts against.You may be aware the time of his submission of statement of asset/liabilities.His personal assets were less than 50 lakhs.No new licence for mining was accrded during his regime.

    If somebody of his close relatives who own and run educational institutions received donations from mining magnates,it is totally legal under the law.If illegal and requires probe,all such transactions of the instituions in the state will also be subjected to probe.Corruption has touched every aspect of our activity and there is hardly any state which could be boosted up on without corrupt practices,except Gujarat.Leakage of so called Lokayukta report before it is officially tabled will have serious repurcussions on its sanctity and confirms doubts of its prejudicial nature. nature.

    Actually, it will be good if the BJP state government rejects the report. Somebody from the Congress, JD(S) or concerned public can then file a PIL against the government challenging this decision and ask for a reference of the case to CBI / CVC. That would actually bring out the complete truth in the matter ...
