Very glad to learn that Lokayuta doing their jobs responsibly. There are many Patalis all over Mangalore and South Kanara District. If each one is raided, with the money that is got from them, honestly, we can build a very beautiful, good infrastructure Mangalore. Auction their houses and plots and use money for developing South Kanara.

But this will not happen. Because after some months, these Patalis will go free and the cases will be closed. It has happened to police officers in Bethangady and other places where the cases are running endlessly and the occupants are enjoying the fruits of all the bribes they had taken during service years.

Very sad. but it is true.

We should have a good machinery to see that after Lokayuta do their findings, then severe action is taken against these Patalis.

Citizens awake and lead the way for a better cleaner and corruption free South Kanara, our great district which produced great bankers, educationists, hoteliers
etc, but today producing big Patalis full of corruption.

    United we stand !!

Naveen and Sunder, to clear, this case is not of IT evasion, which all do within the loopholes of the IT act. But this case pertains to taking heavy bribes taken for favors done to unscrupulous people thereby depriving the state and country of valuable forest land, which is irreplaceable if he were to return 2 times the illgotten wealth!! Just think he has used teak wood for his house and furniture, at whose cost? This is outright abuse of the powers ordained in him, don't you think so?

Completely agree with Mr. Sunder. You are bang on target. All Indians are involved in tax frauds from small villeges to babu's in Delhi all are engaged in the generation of illegal money.

There may be 100s of such places out here where black money and unaccounted for wealth is stashed especially those of high level Govt. employees and other professionals who do not pay tax. Just imagine how much of the valuable forest wealth this RFO might have sold to gain so much of wealth, and this is only one forest officer in the entire state. All such easy money floating around is one of the main reasons for land and real estate prices to sky rocket. I don't think there is a single honest officer in the corridors of power, all are corrupt, but being corrupt, this way, to the core is really not acceptable. Illgotten wealth is mostly invested in benami properties which should also be thoroughly investigated. Such people should be stripped of their positions and demoted to work at the lowest level. But it will be unfortunate for the children of the accused who too will have to face the wrath of the society for no mistake of theirs.

A job well done by Lok Ayukta officials!!

Big congratulation to Lokayukta for their great job. These people deserve this kind of treatment. They are the real culprits in the society.Becasue of this corrupt politicians/officers common people like us can not survive/live in this society. They are enjoying their royal/lavish life with all the facilities, how? that is at the cost of common/poor/middle class people. These are the people made our life miserable.

Inflation, soaring prices of all the daily consumable food commodities/ items, real estate's sky rocketing prices etc are the few examples for the present day's corruption. These people are to be put under bar. They even exposed their true color to their family members like wife, children how their/husband/ father got all these ill gotten money, where from all these wealth came from?.Luxury cars, cash in hand, property in benami names what else?.What they want happiness, luxury cars, royal life style at who's cost?

Now what?.These people should be hanged in front of the public not mere punishment, this should always be lesson/eye opener for others to follow.well done and the appreciation to Lokayukta, continue doing this and clean the society as much as you can.let the ordinary people fulfill their limited wishes of their life.use this money for the benefit of the nation/state or at least build some footpaths for the benefit of the pedestrians within the vicinity of city.At present all the basic things are lacking in Mangalore/Udipi city.jai ho Lokayukta

25 lakh Rupees 6.5 lakhs of Gold and some " CHILLAR ' cash and the Lokayukta make it a " BIG HEADLINE ".

This is absurd. Check any average persons account and one can find this kind of cash.

Looks like the people who refuse to provide contibution ( HAFTHA in our terms ) to the Lokayukta are targetted and their names and photographs are published so that they would hang themselves in shame.

There are so many politicians with so much of black money , spending the above mentioned amount is normal for one of their lavish parties .How many politicians have our lokayuktha raided until now ???? NONE !!!!

That proves that the big heads are let loose to loot and ruin our dear country India and the small petty ones and helpless ones are caught and made a spectacle of...

Look at them smiling in the photographs , when someones life is getting ruined....

The Forest Officer is no friend or relative of mine nor are the Lokayukta's my enemies... But what right has the lokayuktha to publish a suspects name and the photograph in the news ?????

Murderers and rapists heads are covered with black masks when published in newspapers and small incidents like this which states unaccounted 50 lakh rupees holders photographs are published !!!

Lokayukta officials , have a heart !!! He might be having unaccounted cash ... But no one has the right to publish anyones snap and treating him like an murderer...How will he or his family ever face the public and the society ??

That is a surprising attack by Lokayukta officials, indeed we proud of you guys.Continue the raids all over Karnataka state and you may get many more corrupt officials like this, accumulating wealth by wrong means and looting their own motherland just to live a lavish life. All these dirty minded drakulas should be behind the bars, so atleast clean society prevail.
A big salute to Karnataka state Ombudsman Justice Santhosh Hegde, because of you great officers there is little life in our motherland otherwise these Drakulas would have killed our mother long back, now they are slowly cutting the body parts and selling to foreign countries( like illegal mining and making the land of not useful for anything later)
We common people's heartfelt wish is let the Lokaykta get the full autonomy from the Supreme court and act Independently without the interference of the Govt.
Jai ho Santhosh Hegde and all Lokayukta Officers, you definetely win this campaign and the lay people with you, with their best wishes and prayers so that you good officers only can save our mother land.
