Bantwal, Jun 22: In a rare act of appreciation, a man visited the local police station in Bantwal to express his gratitude for their work. Shivashanker, a resident of Antara in Narikombu village, brought joy to the officers as he thanked them personally for rescuing him.

On June 13, an injured man was found lying in the verandah of the Narikombu gram panchayat. The gram panchayat officer, upon noticing him, discovered that he was Shivashanker, a resident of Antara.

Shivashanker, under the influence of alcohol, had broken the glass of the panchayat office and entered in a drunken stupor. During the incident, he sustained cuts on his hand, resulting in bleeding. Due to his injury, local residents hesitated to approach him.

Upon receiving the alert, SI Ramakrishna and the staff of Bantwal Police Station quickly responded and arranged for an ambulance to transport Shivashanker to Wenlock Hospital. They also informed his family about the situation.

After being discharged from the hospital on June 21, Shivashanker, who regained consciousness, immediately visited the police station to personally express his gratitude to the officers who had assisted him. His gesture brought smiles to their faces, appreciating his rare act of gratitude.
