M’lore/ Udupi: Gas Connection Issues – Consumers have 15 Days to Mend

M’lore/ Udupi, Jul 23: Having issues with your gas connections? Have you provided the required documents or information for suitable gas connections? You just have 15 days time to make things right.
The Government has provided time of 15 days to the customers to solve the issues related to gas connections by providing the necessary details to dealers.
Despite providing the R R Number and ration cards to food department as requested the names of thousands of customers were missing from the website and the department had received lot of complaints regarding the same.
In Mangalore city alone around 35,000 customers’ names were not found in the website’s gas connection list. Hence the Government has issued an order and given 15 days to add the names of all customers to website.
Now the customers themselves can upload their names onto the website. All they need to do is to visit www.ahara.kar.nic.in and can enter their ration card and R R number. Within 10 days of uploading, their names would be added to the website.
People who are unable to access internet can provide their documents at taluk offices. Help centers at the taluk offices are also available for the same.
In Mangalore there are totally 2 lac gas connections in which around 1 lac customers have not submitted the required documents yet. From those who have submitted, the names of 35,000 customers are not available in the website, according to the department.
