Kasargod, Jun 26: A young man was brutally hacked to death in Kajampady, Perla by another man accused of harassing a girl, on Sunday afternoon.
The victim, Sandeep (26) from Aranthodu, Madhur, succumbed to his injuries.
The alleged perpetrator, Pavan Raj, a resident of Kajampady, is currently under probe by the Badiadka station police.
Sandeep, who was severely injured in the assault, was rushed to Pariyaram Medical College Hospital. Tragically, he passed away later in the afternoon.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Pavan Raj targeted and killed Sandeep in retribution for challenging his harassment of a young girl.
