Bahrain: New office bearers elected for Kannada Sangha

Bahrain, Jun 27: The annual meeting of Kannada Sangha, recipient of state award was held at Kannada Bhavan auditorium here. The sangha is the first to have a building of its own. It has more than 400 members and has been functioning and conducting various activities for the last four decades.

Amarnath Rai was unanimously elected 13th president of the sangha. Ishwar Anchan was elected as internal auditor, Pravin Shetty Kinnigoli as treasurer, Ramprasad Ammenadka as chief secretary, Mahesh Kumar as vice president, John Deepak D’ Sa as sports secretary and Jagadish Jeppu as cultural secretary.

Ashok Kumar was elected as assistant secretary, Anil Deraje as committee member, Chandra Mogera as assistant treasurer, Gopala Shetty as committee member, Mohammed Salim as committee member and Santhosh Acharya as assistant cultural secretary.
