Only when a robust public infrastructure is developed will the public refrain from buying vehicles; it's a blunder to broaden roads at the cost of the environment by cutting forests and destroying nature thereby giving incentive for the public to buy more vehicles! In fact in some countries public transportation is completely free to dissuade the public from using private vehicles! Take the example of Germany, Norway etc. Even many people in Mumbai prefer to use public transport as the infrastructure quality and cost has been completely improved; with the starting of Colaba-Seepz underground railway lacs of cars will go off the roads as the quality of travel will match international standards; even BMC run BEST (single and double ebuses) provide cheap and quality traveling this decongesting roads and reducing pollution! Local travel in Mumbai is very much cheaper than Mangalore!!

Two Wheeler accidents and resulting fatalities have increased manifold over the years due to big increase in two wheeler density and broadening of roads in an unscientific manner leading to head on collisions because of the tendency to overspeed on these new roads! Unless a very robust system of public transportation 🚇🚍🚋 is developed, these horrific tragedies are going to continue! All in all a very risky proposition to ride a two wheeler here! Gods only should protect these travelers! BTW, an expert committee has been instituted to investigate the newly constructed Mysore Bangalore bridge where already 45 deaths have taken place in such a small time⌚!!
