Dubai, Jun 19: In an extraordinary feat, 7-year-old Arthur Aaron Saldana attempted to secure a place in the prestigious Limca Book of Records on June 24, 2023, in Dubai, UAE. The young prodigy aimed to identify the flags of all 197 countries recognized by the United Nations.
Arthur, a resident of Thyagaraja Nagar Extn Tarikere in Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, India, and currently residing in Al Nahda, Sharjah, UAE, at AL Baker Tower 2, undertook the challenge with great determination. Born on April 15, 2016, Arthur showcased exceptional talent at a young age.
The attempt took place at an event witnessed by seven individuals, including Muhammed Rasik V V and Sarangi Lal Chinnapparat Masilamani Albert and Parthiban, both physical education teachers at Woodlem Park School Dubai and Capital School Dubai, respectively, served as timekeepers, meticulously noting the timing on stopwatches. Executive chef Saurabh Saxena maintained the log sheet, and the event's start was officiated by Ameer Adukkattil, chief instructor of Shotokan Karate Club Dubai, acting as an independent witness.
Arthur's astounding achievement came to fruition as he identified the 197 flags within a remarkable time of 3 minutes and 52 seconds, effortlessly recognizing the flags in a random order.
Ever since the age of 5, Arthur had developed a keen interest in flags, prompting his parents to provide him with the necessary support and resources for his pursuit. Recognizing his potential, Arthur's parents chose the Limca Book of Records, India's renowned platform known for its transparency in record attempts, to showcase their son's exceptional talent on a global scale.
Aside from this extraordinary feat, Arthur holds a black belt in karate and has been crowned JKS Karate Champion in Dubai for two consecutive years. He is also a skilled pianist, having passed his initial grade with distinction, and has been training as a gymnast for the past two years.
Arthur's unwavering determination and remarkable achievements serve as an inspiration to aspiring young talents across the world, illustrating the immense potential of young minds when provided with the right support and opportunities.
