Kasargod: 52-year-old Thomas Crasta murdered, body dumped in toilet pit

Kasargod, Jul 1: A bore well digging contractor was murdered and his mortal remains were dumped in the toilet pit at Seethangoli, near Kumble here. The incident came to light on Saturday July 1 evening.

The deceased is identified as Thomas Crasta (52). As he was missing for the last four days, locals were searching for him. Badiyadka station police personnel who were informed, came to the spot and conducted investigation.

The dead body was stuffed in a sack before being dumped in the pit. Police said that the mortal remains will be retrieved on Sunday morning for inquest.

The slab of the toilet pit was partly open and was giving away a foul smell. Thomas was constructing bore wells jointly working with a bore well digging company. Police investigation is in progress.
