Kundapur: Accused held on charges of stealing jewellery from woman's purse in temple

Kundapur, July 3: Police have arrested a private bus employee in connection with the theft of gold jewellery weighing thirteen and a half sovereigns from the purse of a woman who was on a visit to Kollur temple on June 4 this year.

The arrested accused is identified as Theerthahalli-based Girish B G (32). Police have arrested him on the basis of CCTV camera footage and have recovered the stolen gold jewellery from him.

Police have recovered a gold chain weighing seven and half sovereigns, two gold bangles weighing three sovereigns, a gold chain weighing one and a half sovereign, a gold bangle weighing half sovereign and four pairs of gold earrings weighing one sovereign all together weighing 108 grams.

    I still blame women why they carry so much gold when going to temple or bur /train .Its a knwon factor thefts are being carried out almost everywhere .These women simply dont understand .Thank God now she recovered it.
