Udupi, Jul 3: A man slipped and fell to his death in the stream near Nagabana, Beedinagudde on the late night of Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Somappa Rathod, a 38-year-old resident of Hunagunda taluk, Bagalkot district.
The local residents recovered his body this morning, and social worker Nityananda Olakadu assisted in transporting the remains to the district hospital.
A case has been registered at the Udupi city police station in connection with the incident.
