R.I.P Bhavya. While I do not mean to be disrespectful of the death of a young woman, I do not believe that the wife ended her life over the "rearing of hens". Just a few years ago ALL households in Mangalore reared hens. Besides, hens some houses had a Cow, and in some Christian homes there was a pig too. There are other reasons, which are known to her and her husband and perhaps her family which perhaps we will never come to know.

This is called height of stupidity. Rearing hens in tulunadu is custom, so that eggs and meat can be found within the house. In the earlier days, every house used to have hens minimum of 15 - 20 which even was sold when need of money. These days finding country hens which are reared organically are hard to find and the ones what we get is been raised artificially. RIP

Looks like wife is stubborn and husband is crazy of chickens. Now he can rear chickens inside his house, and make Kori rotti and eat with 2 peg whiskey.

Main reason, unlike bygone era, most times they are financially very stable, many times earning more than the hubby, hence they care two hoots for anybody! BTW, in the present scenario it's almost impossible for a farmer boy to get a decent proposal due to obvious reasons!

A precious life ended for a silly reason. She could have sold those hens, switched on to some other occupation and carried on.

For such a petty reason ,commits suicide is not normal. She or they must have had other problems too I feel.Whatever it is life is too precious. One has to compromise things with each other.May her soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to family.Hope Police will not arrest husband for this. Its nonsense if they make.
