Kundapur, Jul 5: A collision between a private bus and a canter occurred at Avarse within the Kota police station limits on Wednesday, July 5 evening, resulting in serious injuries to eight individuals, including the bus driver.

According to reports, the accident took place amid heavy rain and poor visibility on the road. Local witnesses claim that the canter driver drove his vehicle to the extreme left as a high tension light pole obstructed the middle of the road, leading to the collision.

Residents of the area have alleged that their complaints regarding the placement of the light pole in the middle of the road were disregarded by Mescom. They hold Mescom responsible for the accident. Further details regarding the victims of the collision are currently unavailable.
