Mangaluru native dies on spot in bus-car collision at Shivamogga, four injured

Shivamogga, Jul 6: In a ghastly accident that occurred between a private bus and car near Sakrebailu elephant camp on Shivamogga-Thirthahalli road in the evening on July 4, a man, native of Kuppepadavu died and four people got seriously injured.

The deceased is identified as Mohammed Ashraf (43), a resident of Balemar in Bardila of Kuppepadavu.

Bardila resident Ismail Sharif, Kuppepadavu resident Mohammed Sharif, Mangaluru Bunder area resident Hyder and Ganjimath resident Aslam were seriously injured.

The scene of accident was horrific. Locals got all the four seriously injured to McGann hospital here. After receiving first aid, they were shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

Ashraf was married and was doing business in Bengaluru. He had gone along with his friends to buy medicines from Shivamogga. The private bus collided head-on with the Wagon R when they were on their way back home. Ashraf died on the spot.
