Daijiworld Media Network - Puttur

Puttur, Jul 27: In a tragic incident, Nizamuddin, a 24-year-old youth from Uppinangady here residing in Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia, passed away on Monday July 25 evening, reportedly after undergoing treatment for a stomach ailment.

On Monday, Nizamuddin complained of severe stomach ache and was taken to hospital by his friends. The doctors reportedly treated him with an injection but later in the evening he was once again in pain. This time the doctors again gave him an injection and also some tablets.

Nizamuddin took the tablets in the car while on the way back from the hospital. However, a few minutes later his friends found him lying unconscious. They rushed him to hospital, where he breathed his last.

Nizamuddin had been a healthy man and his sudden death has come as a shock to his family and friends. Investigations are on to determine the exact cause of the death.

Son of  Iddinabba and Aisamma, he was a mechanical engineer working with Gulf Column General Cont Est (GCE) for more than a year.

His body will be brought to Uppinangady soon, family sources said.

Very sad and shocking.may his sould rest in peace.Condolence to the bereaved family.I do agree with Mr.Santhosh Bhandary, Mangalore. In Gulf countries they got everything like modernized hospital, sophisticated devises/technology.Standard of diagnosis not up to the standard especially with Arab doctors. They are in fact allergic to all Asians.Indian doctors are much much better than their counter part. For any major diseases/surger/treatment rush to your home country for better treatment.

Never trust these doctors in Saudi Arabia. They know nothing about Medicine. What a tragedy? I hope the doctor is found guilty of medical negligence to treat a stomach pain with those medications.

May his soul rest in peace. Please think twice before you head to a clinic there.

It is sad to say but let me tell you the reality. They have big and beautiful hospitals with modern state of the art medical facilities but the doctors are totally incompetent. Most of the doctors are from arab countries and cannot be compared to Indian doctors for diagnosis and medical expertise. Most of the time they are ignorant and also insensitive to Indians, Pakistanis and the like. So if you have anything more serious than cold and fever please do not trust these doctors and put your life in danger. Even they are not qualified to treat simple cases like food poisoning etc. It is better to rush to your home country for treatment. All the above are not baseless comments but my personal experiences and knowledge during my long stay in the gulf.
