Mangaluru, Jul 7: After experiencing heavy rainfall for almost a week, the Dakshina Kannada district has finally seen a reduction in rainfall on Friday, July 7.
The continuous heavy rainfall had raised concerns about the safety of students and staff in educational institutions. However, with the subsiding rainfall, deputy commissioner Mullai Mugilan has instructed schools and colleges to resume their normal functioning. While the weather situation has improved, the DC has emphasized the importance of taking proper precautions and ensuring the safety of everyone within the educational establishments.
The Deputy Commissioner has also urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant and cautious while sending their children to school or college.
While the district is relieved to witness a respite from the heavy downpour, authorities will continue to monitor the weather conditions closely. Any updates or changes regarding the functioning of educational institutions will be communicated promptly.
