Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Jul 10: Police continued the investigation into the murder that took place Mulihitlu junction under the south police station limits of the city. It has come to light that the owner Tausif Hussain had hit the employee Gajwan alias Jaggu on the head with wooden log and later poured petrol on his body and burnt him.

Gajwan was working in Tausif’s shop for the past three years. He used to sleep in a shed adjacent to the shop. Tausif used to beat Gajwan often. On Saturday also he attacked Gajwan with wooden log. As Gajwan lost consciousness, accused Tausif shifted his body to the nearby shed and poured petrol on him and burnt him.

Later, accused Tausif took Gajwan to Wenlock hospital and said that Gajwan was burnt due to electric shock. The hospital authorities informed the police. On interrogation Tausif confessed to the crime. Major part of the mortal remains of Gajwan was badly burnt. Only post mortem report will throw more light on the cause of death. Police also conducted spot inspection on Sunday.

The mystery is that no one knows the whereabouts of Gajwan including the accused Tausif in whose shop he worked for three years. Gajwan could not speak properly. He had said with the accused that he is from Rajasthan. Locals used to address him as Gajwan alias Jaggu. So even his real name is not known. Police are trying to locate his address and next of kin.

There are many such singular orphaned outsiders who are fully exploited and even beaten up mostly in hotels and petty businesses; these poor people have nowhere to go and nobody to support them; very pitiable state of affairs! BTW, they are not even paid minimum wage, but only some food and accommodation to stay alive!

Shocking that such incident has happened within the city. The accused's photo must be made public. Because in few years the courts wil let him go free, but atleast public can identify him

The ability to value life of one self and others is lower than people who are more secular in their views. One group of people find it easy to snuff lives than the others. I hope you all get the drift

Inhuman behaviour. How can Tausif kill a a person in such a brutal way. This man need to be imprisoned life time. He should understand the value of life. Imagine how that man struggled for his life when he beat him. God has not given permission to ant one to take others life. Police must take serious action against this man.
