Yeddyurappa Rejects BJP High Command's Order to Step Down

Daijiworld Media Network

Bangalore / New Delhi, Jul 28: The Karnataka political scene is expected to take a new turn on Thursday July 28 following the revelation of the explosive Lokayukta report on Illegal mining, which named CM Yeddyurappa and four other ministers of his cabinet.

According to the latest reports reaching Daijiworld from New Delhi, during the three-hour meeting between BJP chief Nitin Gadkari and CM Yeddyurappa which ended around 3 am on Thursday, Gadkari clearly asked Yeddyurappa to step down from the CM's post.

The order is seen as a neccessary step in order to accelarate BJP's anti-corruption campaign at New Delhi, and specially to demand the Prime Minister's resignation in the forthcoming Parliament session, which is due to begin on August 1.

But Yeddyurappa reportedly denied to accept the order to quit and claimed that he had done nothing wrong. The cases mentioned by the Lokayukta report are already in court and he is fighting them, he said.

A close source from BJP says that Yeddyurappa has asked Shobha Karandlaje to be made the next CM in case he is dropped. But Gadkari has refused to accept Yeddyurappa's conditions. An angry Yeddyurappa returned to Bangalore on Thursday morning.

Yeddyurappa who reached Bangalore airport at 9.20 am, is expected to go ahead with his cabinet meeting.  The state observer Dharmendra Pradhan is also expected to reach Bangalore on Thursday morning to keep an eye on Yeddyurappa's activities in Bangalore.

Daijiworld has learnt that, high command has reportedly instructed all MLAs and ministers not to attend the meeting called by Yeddyurappa.

In the wake of these new developments, new candidates are emerging for the CM's chair. The front runners are D V Sadanada Gowda, Udupi Lok Sabha member, Dr V S Acharya, MLC and minister in Yeddyurappa cabinet, other ministers like Suresh Kumar and Jagadish Shettar. Even the name of Bangalore MP Ananthkumar is emerging in the political circle.

    Alas.. its over..
After a long wait its all over..He had to pay for all that he had done in the last 38 months. Unprofessional, corrupt govt who never knew to respect people, their sentiments.. especially the minority communities...And now he cries..he cries for loosing his seat.. I pray that these ministers feel the pain that the minority community goes through..We should not let him go just like that.He should return back the 16000 Crores that he has costed the state, a state that was so peaceful, forward thinking and a safe place until the BJP Govt came into power. We should ask for a live telecasted enquiry concerning all his and his family's assets.. ..

And this shall be an example for all these corrupt leaders who will rule our land in the coming years....be it any party...

With 16000 crores we can highways with 4 tracks running all over the state...We can have atleast 5-6 power plants for uninterrupted power for the next 50 years, we can serve mineral water for free for all people, we can have high speed trains running all over the state..our dear farmers will never suicide and the list goes on... Sigh..!!

His whose name appears in corruption or scandals should not continue in office. First resign and then prove your innocence. If proved guiltless you will defnitely win people's confidence and get back your chair.

Defying high commander order and sticking to his chair is another form of Goonda Raj! His graceful exit could have definitely earned him some political brownie points for his next candidature.

Yeddy never uplifted RSS or BJP value system. We are shame full that we have ed a cast oriented highly corrupted individual. I vote for Suresh Kumar / Eshwarappa who are cable of leading existing BJP's Monkey platoons.

Still BJP remain a top choice if they do well in next two years. Governor is having a big chance to kick this govt before yeddy takes decision. Good luck yeddy, Your past karma will take charge of you.....

Gadkari now feels, Yeddy is a spoilt child. That too Gadkari himself spoiled him. I liked the dicision of Yeddy, he should not obey his high command. He should float his on party. BJPL (Lingayat) with thye help of Swamijis he can rule for another 2yrs.

All swamijis should help him once again despite his corruption scandal. Cast is more important than anything else. Yeddy has donated crores to temples, now its their turn to support him in return. Long Live SHREEMAN YEDYURAPPAJI.

What is the use of changing a chair? EK ANAAR 100 BIMAAR. For 16k crores he is not the only person held responsible, there are his subordinates and whole assembly of BJP have to give the resignation. Now, dear Yeddy, you can not prove that you are an innocent politician, and a true leader of 6 crores of Kannadigas. A huge shame on you and I feel guilty about myself today.

All Political Parties to understand the sentiment of people of India today. If BJP ask the Karnataka CM to resign only to attack congress in Parliament. There is no sympathy for BJP from the people of India. People of India are fed up of corruption. Please do not go around take corruption which cannot be proved in court. Then you will lose the election just like DMK in Tamil Nadu. The people wants you to fight corruption from the bottom of the heart if you have one?

CM chair is like a CEO chair for Mr. Yeddyurappa, he thinks politics is a business and at any cost he dont want to give up his business.

Embarassing moment for BJP party and high comission, dont have any values for their own party and wht can this CM think of his people and his supporters....he is just selfish, lier and business minded.

Dont know what Yeddyurappa thinks of himself...looks like he is going to break the records of corruption in the guinness books
