Mangaluru: Two drug peddlers arrested; MDMA, weapons, car seized

Mangaluru, Jul 12: The Kavoor station police have apprehended two drug peddlers on the road to Moodushedde, Padushedde villager and seized 4.5 grams of MDMA, three lethal weapons, and a Maruti Swift car used in connection with the crime.

The arrested individuals are Mohammed Shahrukh (27), a resident of Moodushedde village, Tiruvail, Vamanoor and Jagadish (45) of Jokatte, Baikampady.

The total estimated value of the confiscated items is around Rs 4,41,700.

A case has been registered at the Kavoor police station in this regard.

The operation was carried out under the leadership of Mangaluru North Subdivision ACP Manoj Kumar, with the active participation of Kavoor police inspector Gururaj, PSI Mallikarjuna Biradara, and staff members Taranath Putran, Kishore, Sambhaji, and Lathesh, who acted upon the directions and guidance of their senior officials.
