Belagavi, Jul 13: State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel said that the attack on Hindus increased after Siddaramaiah-led Congress government assumed power in Karnataka.
Speaking to reporters in the city, Nalin said, “Congress party withstands in protecting the murderers. During the victory ceremony of the Congress, pro-Pakistani slogans were raised. The Congress government, which is supposed take action against such anti-nationals, is filing cases against patriots. It is doing politics of revenge.”
Nalin also condemned the heinous murder of Kamakumara Nandi Maharaj of Hirekudi village of Chikkodi taluk. He said, “We must know the reason being the murder of the Jain monk. Transparent investigation should be conducted. When the BJP was in power in the state, police department was given a free hand. However, it is doubtful whether police department will work transparently under the Congress rule.”
Responding to the statement of home minister Dr Parameshwar that the BJP has lost faith on the police department within 1.5 months of losing the power, Nalin said, “We have faith on the police but not the Congress government. Transfer business is extremely high since the Congress assumed power. The Congress accused the BJP of 40% commission government. However, the Congress has turned out to be 80% commission government. Under the Congress rule, transfer orders are a daily affair. If the government does good work, we will appreciate. But this government is working against the people.”
Nalin also said that leader of opposition will be elected shortly by the BJP.
