Brahmavar, Jul 16: A woman, who worked as a librarian at a private college, tragically lost her life after falling from a bike she was riding pillion on.
The deceased has been identified as Shambhavi (59), a resident of Koteshwara.
Shambhavi was traveling as a passenger on the bike of Sudhindra, a lab technician from her college. They were heading from their college in Chantaru to the Brahmavar bus stand after Shambhavi had completed her duties on Saturday afternoon.
Unfortunately, as they reached Kolambe, heavy rains began to pour. It is believed that Shambhavi lost control and fell from the bike.
It is worth mentioning that she used to commute by bus from Chantaru to the bus stand on a daily basis.
Shambhavi is survived by her husband and son.
