Udupi: One stabbed to death in scuffle between labourers in Katpadi

Udupi, Jul 17: A heated altercation between two labourers took a tragic turn on Monday, July 17 evening, resulting in the murder of one of them in Katpadi.

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh (50), a native of Orissa, who was involved in construction work near Katapadi Shirva Road. The perpetrator responsible for the killing managed to flee the scene.

According to witnesses, a dispute arose between the two labourers regarding their work, which escalated into a physical fight. During the altercation, Ganesh sustained severe injuries. Locals and fellow workers immediately rushed him to the hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

Udupi SP Hakay Akshay Machindra, DySP Arvinda Kulaguzzi, Kaup Police circle inspector K C Poovaiah, SI Sreeshaila Murgod and other police officials visited the crime scene to investigate further.
