Kundapur, Jul 19: The mortal remains of Peer Saheb, a 21-year-old youth from Gadag, who was tragically washed away in the sea while swimming at Trasi beach on Tuesday, have been discovered on Wednesday, July 17 morning near Kanchugodaya.
Peer Saheb had arrived two months ago for construction work and was residing in Mudarangadi, Kaup taluk. On the day of the incident, an individual named Siraj had come on a lorry from Peer Saheb's hometown. Peer Saheb, along with his friend Siddappa, had plans to return to their hometown with Siraj. However, while they were at Trasi beach around 2.30 pm, Peer Saheb ventured into the water to click selfies and was unfortunately swept away by the waves.
The local ambulance driver, social worker Ibrahim Gangolli and his team, lifeguard diving expert Dinesh Kharvi and his team, as well as the fire brigade and coast guard staff, alongside the Gangolli police, conducted an extensive search operation for Peer Saheb in the sea. A case has been registered in connection with this incident at the Gangolli police station.
