BJP Legislators' Individual Opinions to Decide Yeddyurappa's Fate?

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Jul 30: Saturday July 30 has been a hectic day in the Karnataka BJP camp, although no consensus on chief minister B S Yeddyurappa's resignation has yet been reached. High command leaders are busy in talks with other senior leaders over the crisis, and according to BJP senior most leader Dr V S Acharya and R Ashok, the CM has agreed to resign from his post on Sunday July 31 by 10 am, or latest by 3 pm

"I know Yeddyurappa very well, he is disciplined soldier of the party, and will never back out from his decision. He has promised to resign on Sunday, and I am 100 percent sure that he would keep his word," said home minister R Ashok.

According to the latest updates from Bangalore's political circle, the high command has decided to collect individual opinion on the Yeddyurappa issue by today. An SMS has been sent to all MLAs and MLCs to meet the high command leaders in Hotel Ashok in the city and give their individual opinions. A source close to Eshwarappa said that this gathering of opiniones may not be the final verdict on the CM, but the high command wants to know the mood prevalent among the state BJP legislators.

It is learnt that at least 10 legislators who are currently on a foreign tour are expected to be back in the capital by Sunday.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh in New Delhi ridiculed the state BJP and the central BJP leadership for the political drama in the state. "This party is indeed with a difference, in fact with a big difference. Here, the high command has no command, instead a leader who has money power dominates the party. The party's remote control is with Yeddyurappa, and the so-called high command is just a spectator," he said.

But BJP leaders in Bangalore claim that the entire political drama will have a happy ending. They insist that there is no schism in the party, that everyone is united. The CM will resign tomorrow, and by tomorrow night a new leader will be chosen, they said.
