Mangaluru, Jul 28: The preparations for Daijiworld 24x7 TV’s mega stage show 'Gayan ani Gazali@100', is in full swing. The event will take place at St Agnes College auditorium here on July 30 at 5 pm.
'Gayan ani Gazali@100' celebrates the success of Daijiworld Television's live Konkani singing programme ‘Gaayan ani Gazali’ airing every Tuesday at 9 pm.
It may be recalled, during the time of Covid pandemic, Daijiworld Television planned a few unique programmes with the intention of building confidence in the viewers with entertainment. The show started under the direction of Ashith Pinto, the then production director of Daijiworld TV. In its initial days, Walter Nandalike, the founder of Daijiworld media hosted the show. Later, young and budding compere Rupal D’Souza handled the show for a long time. Well known comperes of the Konkani entertainment world Hera Pinto, Shanthi Priya Lasrado, Adline Pinto and Santhosh Monteiro have also anchored the show in regular intervals. Known writer and director Stany Bela is the director of this show.
Young music director Sanjay Rodrigues has featured as music director in Gayan Ani Gazali. He has played live music supporting more than 150 artistes and made them very much comfortable in a TV studio with his quick directorial techniques. His unique way of playing music on live programmes has earned him huge fan following across the Konkani world.
From the very beginning, the show converted into a blend of top senior, trending and budding, and new singers. The living legends of Konkani music Meena Rebimbus, Melwyn Peris, Eric Ozario, and Joyce Ozario also graced the floor of ‘Gayan ani Gazali’ with their renditions.
There was a huge demand from the audience for live performances from the artistes on a grand stage. Bowing to public demand, Daijiworld came up with the idea of ‘Gayan ani Gazali@100’ live show. More than 50 artistes from the Konkani music world will entertain the audience. Team members of Urban Groove will create artistic moves on the stage.
The musical extravaganza will begin at 5 pm. Gates will open at 4 pm. Entry to the show is free.
