Mangaluru, Jul 30: The RPF personnel at the central railway station in the city demonstrated exceptional vigilance by rescuing a 70-year-old man who was on the verge of falling from a moving train.
Shankara Babu (70), a resident of Kannur, was saved on the evening of Thursday. While attempting to board the Malabar Express, which was scheduled to depart from Mangaluru at 6:15 pm from the central railway station, Babu slipped and found himself perilously close to the tracks.
In a swift and commendable response, RPF personnel Prakash swiftly lifted him to safety.
The entire rescue operation was captured on the platform's CCTV footage. Senior officials have praised Prakash for his prompt action and presence of mind.
