Mangaluru, Jul 31: The Barke Station police have arrested three drug peddlers caught selling Ganja in an auto-rickshaw at the Boloor vicinity. During the operation, they confiscated 2kg 133 grams of Ganja, the auto-rickshaw with registration No. KA19 AA2906, which the suspects used to carry and sell the illegal substance, and three mobile phones.
The total value of the confiscated goods is approximately Rs 1,36,000.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Ganesh (28), who resides near Bharath Beedi complex, Azizuddin Road, Mangaluru, Rahul Gatti (25), a resident of Kamala Nivas, Bhojarao Lane, Dongerkeri, Mangaluru, and Abhilash S Karkera (27), who resides near Urdu school, Kudroli, Mangaluru.
The arrest operation was conducted by Barke Police Inspector Nagesh S Haslar, PSI Rekha R, and PSI Shobha, along with the Barke Police Station staff Chandrahasa Alva, Raghavendra, Pradeep, Manjunath, Likhit Kumar, and Nithesh. The operation was carried out under the guidance of DCPs Anshu Kumar, Dinesh Kumar, and Assistant Police Commissioner Mahesh Kumar, all under the leadership of Mangaluru Police Commissioner Kuldeep Kumar Jain.
